Our Santa Cruz Police Department invites the community to a free Open House in celebration of National Night Out at Police headquarters, 155 Center St., on Tuesday, August 6, 4 to 7 p.m.
The event is a thank you Santa Cruz residents for their active partnership to improve our community with activities for kids and adults, station tours, live demonstrations and free cotton candy!
Visitors will and learn what goes into policing a City of 65,000 residents plus millions of annual visitors with activities including:
— Meet the Chiefs, Officers, CSOs, Rangers and volunteers
— Tour the Police Department facility
— K-9 demonstration
— Hop in, take a closer look at our Police vehicles
— Crime Scene Investigation interactive activity
— Equipment displays and demos – try it on!
— Police motorcycle skills demonstration
— Learn about Police careers & volunteering
— Crime prevention information
— Refreshments, giveaways and more
Free bike valet as well as free parking at Depot Parking Lot, 107 Center St., is provided.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement to encourage a sense of community. We hope to see you, your friends and families for a fun evening at Police headquarters!
