Kiwi Strawberry French Toast


This recipe is a favorite for brunch! The brown sugar sauce and cashews perfectly accent the strawberries and kiwi. Pair this dish with a mimosa and enjoy!



Cinnamon bread or whatever bread you have in the pantry

(or go wild and pick up a loaf of Brioche from Heather’s Patisserrie – you’ll be glad you did)

4 organic kiwis/ sliced

6 large organic strawberries/ cut and quartered

8 oz organic Greek plain yogurt

¼ cup brown sugar

½ cup honey

¼ cup cashews/ crushed

2 eggs/ beaten

¼ cup of milk



Heat a skillet to medium/high heat. Dip a slice of bread into eggs and milk and add to skillet- turning once on each side till golden brown. Put French toast on a plate and top with strawberries and kiwi. Top with brown sugar sauce and cashews

Sauce directions:

Mix yogurt, honey and brown sugar into a small bowl until all ingredients are well blended. Pour a small amount on top of toast and wa-la!!
