About Us

Santa Cruz Waves is a collaboration between two friends who wanted to share the magic that they have experienced from traveling the world experiencing new places and surfing great waves.

Together Casey and Tyler make an extraordinary team that will show you an amazing time unlike any other.

Tyler has been surfing professionally since the age of 18 and has found his niche in the field of big wave surfing. He is a two-time nominee in The Billabong XXL Challenge for biggest wave in the world by the age of 26. In 05 he successfully rode a wave measured at 63 feet and in 07 he upped the anti with a wave measured close to 70 feet. Tyler has taught surfing in Europe with the O’Neill Surf Academy and has experience teaching people of all ages here in Santa Cruz. Casey has a broad range of talents and finds great enjoyment in photography and cinematography. Casey spent 8 month in Indonesia on a surf charter boat where he spent his time snapping shots of the crew, navigating the boat, and surfing till his arms were noodles. Casey has also spent a good amount of time in Central America exploring and capturing the scenery and people with his beautiful photography.
